Its DNA Discovery Day!

Happy DNA Discovery Day everyone!
It was 50 years ago today that Crick and Watson published their findings and forever changed our world. This day is not without controversy though. The popular line is that Francis Crick and James Watson were the two main persons involved in this discovery but there findings, including the molecular structure of the doubl helix, was largely based on efforts of Rosalind Franklin. Which ever version you choose to believe there is no putting this genie back into the bottle so we as human beings have a responsibility to treat the issues surrounding this discovery and it potential uses and misuses with the respect, intelligence and humility that it deserves.
Now, who wants ice cream with their cake?
