Holy crap! I share my birthday with Google.
As if thats not enough our company announced that the current pay freeze that started last December will end this December. While that is good news it means that I will not receive a raise this year. I squeaked mine in just before the freeze began last year so to be fair to everyone else the freeze only ends in time to compensate my compadres who missed out this year. And when I say compadres you know I mean Marc and Kirk. This means that they'll be treating me to a sushi lunch next week.
My wife bought me one of the prequels to Dune, my all time sci-fi fave series along with Gibson's Sprawl series and Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately its the third in a series and I haven't read the first two yet. A quick trip to the local Chapters should remedy that situation.
